We took an overnight train from beijing to shanghai on friday-saturday. I was put into a cabin with two of my friends on the trip and then some Chinese stranger that we would meet at the train. When we finally got onto the train, which took forever because there were squatters in some of the rooms, we found out that we had a mom and a little baby with us. a baby. a damn baby. That was the start of the craziness that was the train ride, all 3 of us had about 10 pieces of luggage between the tree of us, and the cabin only had a little over head space with an opening that would only allow one bad at a time to be moved it was hell. My friend Jenn, also known as mingzhu, was on the top bunk kicking the bags to try and make them fight into the hole, while i hoisted them up there, oh all of our bags were pretty much 50+ pounds. and now i have to go! to be continued!!!!! 

We walked like 10 miles going around the forbidden city, and tiananmen square. Then the next day we walked even more but we were at the Summer palace, it was fun but god damn my feet are aching. Today we went to the temple of heaven and the pearl market which was fun but we walked a ton again today. We had to walk from the subway back to our hotel and had to stop to ask questions every ten minutes to make sure we were walking in the right way.

It is about 10:00 at night right now, i have to lead an excursion to the Great Wall tomorrow, i went to get my partner so we could do research but alas he is sick, so i am sitting in  an internet cafe at 10:00 at night trying to find interesting facts about the great wall…. lots of fun! =]  Oh and today after we got back from temple of heaven i took a nap  from like 4 till 9 which screwed me up  cause i woke up and couldn’t tell what time it was cause it had become dark while i slept. 

All in all, this trip is awesome! i have found some great people to hang out with, which im excited about since i was worried i would be lonely but i have a group that i am getting to know pretty well which i am really happy about.  AND the chinese that i am learning is really valuble 

OMG there is this tiny little kitty that is walking around the cafe, its fucking adorable!!!!sorry back to whatever i was talking about.

So i talked to my teacher today, and although not all of what i say is right, i dare to speak which is more that other people most of the time. Well im going to do my research for my presentation tomorrow! =] stay classy tumblr!
